Ship delivery

Ship delivery -transportation of vessels on their own keel, under their own power- has been the business of our company since 1906. In addition to ship delivery, Redwise today provides a range of services to the marine and offshore industries, including Crew Management and Maritime Recruitment.

Ship delivery is a very special and unique profession in the shipping business. It requires an interesting mix of seamanship and creativity. So that is what work at Redwise is really about.

Creativity for example, is often required to achieve optimum cost-efficiency in technical and operational management, and in providing multiskilled crews ready to deal with any seaworthy vessel.

Redwise has performed well over a thousand successful ship deliveries throughout the world. We have delivered bulk carriers, LNG carriers, trawlers, dredgers, tugs, workboats, crane barges, offshore vessels and many more types of ships, often even complete fleets at a time.

Ship delivery is not just a matter of crewing a vessel and sailing off. Through the years, Redwise has mastered the many auxiliary aspects of ship delivery, such as:

• registration
• recommissioning of laid-up vessels (in close dialogue with the pertinent classification society)
• inspection and survey
• bunkering
• port clearing and handling
• cargo handling
• insurance matters
• crew training (often in combination with delivery of newbuildings)
• shipyard trials (crews and engineers)
• provision of a guarantee engineer (on behalf of the shipyard, for the duration of a ship's guarantee period)
